Lily Lotus is a cute little boutique with ?a beautiful collection of clothes. ?They carry an assortment of bras and panties as well as belts and shoes too. ?The ladies that work there are very friendly and can help you put together an outfit that looks great on you. They are located on Manhattan Ave just South of the Pier.
Dressier clothes are difficult to find in the South Bay…even the better department stores in the South Bay (ahem, Nordstrom) are subpar.Lily Lotus is an exception. ?Although the boutique is tiny, every single one of their dresses appears to have been selected with much care and a good eye. ?Anytime I need a dress for a wedding or other special occasion, and I don’t have time to trek to the Westside or South Coast Plaza, I end up here and almost always find something. ?The prices are either retail or sale – I don’t seem to see any mark-ups. ?And the sale prices can be really good. ?The staff is friendly and very helpful.Brands include BCBG, Cynthia Steffe, Autumn Cashmere, and much more.
Normally I wouldn’t rate a woman’s boutique store. ?But this place helped me so much with my lady gift ideas Sterling Silver Bangles, I just had to let it be known. ?Cute little boutique with amazing selections. ?The owner and her crew are super helpful and knowledgeable. ?As a guy, it can be hard finding a gift for your girlfriend, especially if she’s a picky one. ?Luckily my girlfriend loves this place, so I can never go wrong getting a gift here.

I guess I must be the artsy aunt that the previous reviewer refers to. I am a Free Hand junkie. I am proud to say that I have been a customer at Carol Sauvion’s emporium since the store opened sometime around 1980. Everything in this gallery is handcrafted, with a preference towards minimalist but exquisite jewelry, ceramic tiles that glow with a Frank Lloyd Wright vibe Sterling Silver Earrings, glassware that pulse in colors ?– actually when you go there, give yourself some time to look at everything, because wherever ?you look you will find something even more beautiful to consider. In terms of price Sterling Silver Necklaces, these are hand crafted artisan pieces as opposed to mass or factory made silver jewelry, therefore the cost is more…That being said, even though there are lots of things way out of my budget, I can ALWAYs find something very cool within my range. Plus the very knowledgeable and pleasant staff are able to point you in the right direction if you have something special in mind.
Great selection of beautiful objects, fabrics, jewellery and other treasures. ?Bought a gorgeous scarf there and my sister got a unique hat that she loves. ?Really friendly service and beautifully curated store.
Large shop with jewelry by many many designers and housewares. Good place to shop for gifts for the artsy aunt (some of the stuff is a little on the crafty side), but a decent selection of younger jewelry, too. Oh, and the most important part – free parking in the back for customers!

I saw their ad in Town & Country and decided to check out their web site. ?As I was going through their collection, there was one particular ring that ?just stood out for me and most importantly it had a combination of my birthstone and diamonds. ?I kept thinking about this ring for a few days and then I contacted the store via email to get info. ?To make the long store short, after going back and forth on email, phone calls and etc freshwater Pearl Necklaces, I purchased the ring and couldn’t be happier. ?The service was great pearl earrings, fast shipping with all required paper work. ?The ring is gorgeous and Jacob is great person to deal with. ?They had some very nice pieces that are work of art.
Jacob is very knowledgeable and helpful. ?his collection is amazing and his prices are very reasonable. ?if you are looking for unique, antique and estate jewelry, this is a great place to visit. ?i will return to write more if my engagement ring ends up coming from here, but just from our brief visit with him today, i highly recommend checking Jacob’s store first if you are looking for something unconventional and really special.

This location has a limited selection of Tiffany’s jewelry and accessories compared to other locations, such as Pasadena and Beverly Hills. Came in here to purchase the reversible purse in Tiffany’s signature blue as a gift for a friend – after seeing the purse in person vs. online, I was highly disappointed in the quality. However, I purchased it. My friend decided she’d rather exchange the purse for jewelry Pearl jewelry, as the quality of the purse was clearly garbage. We came back to this location, the security guard recognized me, said hello, and our sales person (manager?) spent quite a bit of time inspecting the purse for “damages”. All in all, the service here was fine, we selected 2 bracelets, and at the end of the transaction, the sales clerk hesitated on giving back the difference in cash. The item was purchased in cash, less then 7 days (their policy is 30 days) therefore, I expect a return in the difference to be in cash – not a store credit. ? I can’t recommend this location, nor will I make it a point to return here. Ps. They now do not polish jewelry purchased here complimentary.
I purchased ?a pair of earrings for my best friend who recently graduated from law school in Chicago. The staff was nice and my sales person was from Chicago and was very personable.
I’n not a big bling kinda person. In fact, I’m totally a frugal, thrifty shopper 99% of the time.My sister wanted to get her best friend something really special for her 30th Birthday. She asked me to go to Tiffany’s with her and help her pick something out. I totally expected a “Pretty Woman” scene, where the people working there would look down their noses at us while we looked around the store, or scoff when we ask the price…But…I was pleasantly surprised by the service. They were in fact, very helpful, friendly and seemed to not think less of us just because of our price point. All-in-all it was a not-too-shabby experience shopping there. I’m only giving it 4 stars out of 5 because I still can’t wrap my head around ?all their prices. But I’ll admit that everything there was real purdy!
I got my first Tiffany as Mother’s Day from my husband (since it’s my 1st Mother’s Day). The chain on the necklace was too short, and it was sterling silver. So we decided to replace it with a 20in chain in white gold. We paid $400 additional for replacement, which I was expecting it was labor and shipping included since the 20in white gold chain was listed for $250 on their website. Then Lauren from Tiffany called my husband @ work told asked him to authorize an additional $25 because it ended up cost more. In my mind, $250 for chain, $150 for labor and $25 for shipping made since for it to be added up to $425. Then when our credit card bill came, there was the $658 charged for the orginal necklace, and $1124 charged for something was suppose to be $400 something. So it took them three weeks and phone calls after phone calls to refund the $658 original price for necklace. We waited total for four and a half weeks to receive the necklace when we were told approx. wait time was two weeks. And guess what, I’ve finally received the necklace yesterday and they charged $25 and $150 for labor. Lol..I got speechless and called Tiffany talked to Lauren, she said the original $425 was for chain only, because it’s a “special” chain, that’s thicker and in a different style. She also said they had to use yellow gold to make it into white gold because they didn’t make it in that style. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Here’s metal 101 Body jewelry, When jewellers speak of white gold, they mean white gold alloys, so it is YELLOW!!!! ALL WHITE GOLD appear to be ?YELLOW!!!! It goes through a process Rhodium Plating to make them look white!!!!! That’s why people scream when they see their white gold wears off and turns yellow. It has to be re-plated every once in a while if you wear it often. $600 pendent and replaced it with a $600 chain…funny as it gets. Now I don’t even wanna see the necklace, so it’s sitting on the bottom of drawer. My first mother’s day turned out to be a complete fiasco thanks to Tiffany & Co!I’ve always trusted Tiffany on Wedding gifts and May alone I spent $700 just in Wedding gift to two different couples. That makes $2000 after this purchase. Unfortunately, after all of this crap with the necklace…Tiffany will never see us again Stainless Steel Necklaces!
tiffany’s shot gun store. small & to the point. the pasadena store closes early. called the glendale store and they saved my a** as they had later hours. the sales girl was also able to confirm that the item i wanted was in stock. while at the store, the same sales girl showed me exactly what i was asking for over the phone & gift wrapped it tiffany’s style. ended up ordering an item that wasn’t available and it was delivered within 24 hrs. if you’ve never had something from tiffany’s delivered, do it. it feels like christmas with snow in southern california w/ hot chocolate and mini marshmallows on top.
I recently went to this location to buy a gift for my best friend. I walked in, was greeted by the person at the door. I started looking for charms, I walked around the store, looking. I noticed six sales associates there, one was with a customer and the rest were just cleaning the displays. No one approached me or even looked at me, it was like I was invisible. So I just left. I guess they care more about the displays then their customers.
This particular location is nestled in the gorgeous Americana shopping center in Glendale, CA. ?The setup at this Tiffany’s differs from older shops since their items are out on display. ?Of particular note is their charm bar, wherein you can pick and choose charms to create a one of a kind piece. My review of this store is largely based on the exceptional service I received from a jewelry stylist named Keith. ?Since I’ve had a number of previous negative shopping experiences, I take note of each time a sales associate greets me and asks if I require any assistance before I have to go and find someone to help me. ?Keith not only promptly greeted me with a smile upon my entrance, but he also suggested items that fit the description of what I was looking for (something classic, something pretty, something personal, and all reasonably priced please). He recommended several options, and ultimately helped me decide on a Tiffany Notes pendant bearing the initial of the gift’s intended recipient. What made Keith stand out among their staff was his extensive knowledge of the product, which he was eager to share with me as I asked a number of questions regarding pieces of interest. ?Truthfully, my experience shopping at Tiffany’s was largely influenced by the fantastic customer service I received. ?Because Keith took the time to be personable and help me find something specifically tailored for the person I had in mind, I would return to this particular location of Tiffany’s for any future purchases in the hopes that Keith (or someone equally knowledgeable about the product) could assist me in making a thoughtful gift purchase.
I LOVE Tiffany & Co. I love that they pride themselves on customer service. So you can imagine my shock when my boyfriend and I were completely snubbed at this location. There were about three customers in the store and around six employee’s. First the greeter at the door said nothing to us. Then we browsed around. We were planning on looking at rings but no one offered any help, no one asked how we were. They just glared at us. I was in complete shock. As we walked out the “greeter” continued to just stare us down even after my boyfriend politely told her to have a nice day.I went home and immediately wrote to Tiffany about my experience. I received several apology letters and although I forgive you Tiffany, I will never set foot in this location again.
You know what, it’s good to finally see a not-so-pretentious Tiffany open up. It’s cool to be able to actually try on a ring or bracelet without feeling any pressure. The best thing though, is that you get to see not what your jewelry looks like pristine and new, but what it will look like after a few months’ wear. The salespeople are way more approachable too, and there aren’t big beefy linebackers eying your every move. I was just disappointed that the “concept” store was more for the trying than the designs…I thought I heard somewhere that they would have edgier/more affordable pieces.
Terrible customer service!!! Sales person sold me jewelry that has damages! I complained and received apology letter but they sound like I knew it was damaged before I purchased it. Horrible! I will never go back there again and will not recommend to anyone!!!!!

My wife and I have been buying jewelry here for at least 15 years. ?For her, for our daughter, and as gifts. ?It was first recommended to me by someone in the jewelry business, and I have never been disappointed. ?I think I’ve only had to return/exchange one purchase, and they were very accommodating. ?I go elsewhere for estate jewelry, but for new stuff, you can’t beat XIV. ?Sima takes very good care of us, always.
Roni, Yoyo & Yosi are where it’s at! I can say, you can’t go wrong here with one of them helping you. I have worked with them for many years for clients and they know what’s what. They have everything, they can make anything, they are the spot! They know their clients. They will remember you. They are so sweet and fun! (especially Roni & Yoyo)They take really good care of you. Don’t expect hours of one on one attention, that isn’t what they are about. Know that it is busy and sometimes they are helping a few people at a time. But trust me when I say, they ALWAYS get it right. Whatever it is you want/need/must have, they will get it for you. I have sent so many people there and like me, it is where they go for their jewelry. I used to be a high end trend jewelry designer and after being done with that part of my life, this is where I put all of my trust. Gifts for yourself or someone else, you will always make the recipient happy! I love XIV Karats!!!
Great selection. However don’t like the fact that they don’t have set prices. ?All the prices are marked double price and it’s up to the sales girl to decide how much she wants to sell it for. A bit shady. As far as style. Great stuff
There are several nice staff members at 14 Karats, which is why I’m not giving them 1 star. But several of the staff members there, including the one who seems to answer the phone most often, are quite rude.On numerous occasions, both my wife and I (separately and together) experienced rude, curt, condescending staff members. This was after buying 3 rings in 1 year (in the height of the recession, it’s worth adding). To be fair, there are some friendly, helpful staff members at the store. If you’re lucky, you’ll deal with them. But the rude, condescending attitudes of a few there warrant the low rating.
I feel as if the service as 14K can be hit or miss. About a year ago I walked into 14K to purchase one of their micro-pave stacking rings. The young man helping me was fairly friendly and I paid a little under 200$ for one ring in yellow gold, which seemed fair. The salesman was nice but not particularly amazing, he seemed a bit judgmental considering I am in my early twenties. I bought one ring with the intentions of going back a few months later to add to my stacking collection. Maybe six months later, my mom and I strolled into 14K once again. I wanted a micro-pave ring in rose gold this time. However, this time my saleswoman was very old–probably in her 80’s from the looks of her. We asked to see the micro-pave rings and she obliged. I couldn’t help but notice the micro-pave rings she was showing me were different from the one I had previously purchased–they looked as if they were a lower quality. I showed the woman my yellow gold ring that I had purchased from them and asked if the rings she was showing me were the same–and she insisted, quite rudely, that they were the same rings. In all honesty, I doubt this woman had very good eyesight. The first ring she gave me to try on was missing a stone. When I told her I wanted to see another ring in the same size, she questioned me and was hesitant to show me another ring. Another thing, the rings had doubled in price. I paid barely under 500$ for the little micro-pave ring in rose gold. This woman was horribly rude and kept squawking, “The price of gold has gone up, the price of gold has gone up.” My experience at 14K was not a good one. I did end up purchasing the rose gold ring, but this is the last time I will take my business there. I paid way too much for a lower quality ring–you might as well go to Tiffany and spend your money there.
This is the only place you need to go for all of your jewelry needs! ?Since moving to Los Angeles and being introduced to XIV Karats, I’ve never gone anywhere else. I get gifts here for friends, and family (they have something for every price point.) ?They are also great about keeping track of all the things you like in the store. ?I go in and make a wish list, and my fiance can just call up and purchase me gifts from my wish list which is saved in the computer. ?Makes finding a gift for your loved one so much easier. My fiance also had my engagement ring made at XIV Karats with a diamond from his family. ?They did a phenomenal job on my engagement ring. ?Actually, it could not have come out any better. ?I get stopped pretty much on a daily basis with people asking me to see my ring. ?I’ve even had a few celebrities stop me at Bristol Farms, Coffee Bean, etc. asking to see my ring!If your looking for jewlery at a great price, go to XIV Karats!!
Bridget is great. Loves her job, has great taste, and works hard to make you happy. Great selection.
If you are looking for real jewelry at comparatively low prices, this place is a good “find” (if we can still call it that after all these years.)However, I really do think you get what you pay for (or less). It is well known that much of the “Italian” jewelry sold on the Ponte Vecchio actually comes from China. If you know a little bit about jewelry you can tell easiy (200 neclaces all the same, with identical motifs, etc and be especially careful if it is 24K gold sold cheap). I have the suspicion that much of XIVK’s “italian” jewelry probably comes from the same people who sell jewelry made in China in Italy. I’m not saying it’s not pretty or that it’s not real. ?You can find very pretty things and you can ask for a certificate showing it is real. I am just saying that the quality especially the craftmanship is to me questionable. Then again, you probably would have a hard time finding jewelry at these prices elsewhere, I just want Yelpers to know what they are probably actually buying. The sales staff can be attentive if they are empty or you may find yourself waiting and waiting. ?It’s a little bit like trying to get a cosmetics salesperson to help you in a busy department store. ?If you have the misfortune of being behind some lady who looks “rich” and like she will buy a lot they will ignore you. ?Once that happened. I was really going to buy something but they kept me waiting after this woman who they probably thought was going to purchase a bundle. I waited as she tried on everything for what turned out to be 30 mins because I needed a gift for my neice that day but I did point out to the salesman (after the woman left and didn’t buy anything) that it would be nice to at least acknowledge the people waiting because on another day I might have just walked away. Finally, I believe they also culture artificial diamonds in China (in labs). These diamonds are less valuable than natural diamonds to me. I think they sell this type of “artificial” diamond here. They are technically and chemically real diamonds though. I think they have to disclose this so you may want to ask before buying.
Best prices for jewelry that I have come across…ever! They will design something for you or with you and always do the best wrapping jobs! It’s where lots of the celebs come for their jewelry. It’s upstairs in what looks kind of like an office building. ?Get’s crazy around the holidays, but other times of the year it’s pretty relaxed. ?I love their diamond stacking rings!
You cannot beat the prices for the quality and selection anywhere else in Los Angeles. ?You can try downtown but there you have no idea what you are getting, it is inconvenient and the pieces are nowhere near as exquisite. ?This place really gets it right, from simple pieces, to elaborate pieces, and custom pieces. ?I will be a customer forever.
I LOVE XIV KARAT!! ?Ron wholesale beads, Helen, and company are like Family. ?Great prices, Huge Selection, knowledgeable staff, unique designs as well as custom made options. ?They work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want. ?XIV Karats is ALWAYS my first stop when I am jewelry shopping. ?I never leave empty-handed or disappointed. ?Simply the BEST!!
14K is the best kept (not-so-secret) secret jewelry store in the BH. They have a huge selection of beautiful baubles at all prices. You tell them what you want and how much you want to spend and they’ll make sure you get the best bang for your buck. If you like a design from a brand name jewelry line, check with 14K and they could probably custom make it for you for a lot less.Jasmine H. is always really helpful. She’ll remember you and what you like and offer great suggestions.
Great prices and great pieces. They have an amazing selection so no matter what your taste is, you’ll probably find something you like. They also have jewelry in all prices ranges. They like to show off all the celebrities that shop there, it seems, and sometimes the salespeople can be a little standoffish, especially if they think you aren’t going to be spending a lot of money. They should never assume… They’re usually wrong. Also, even though this says it is only a private parking lot, there is parking garage right down the street (very short walk) that has two hour free parking, and of course the street is lined with meters.
I searched for my engagement ring at 7 different places and couldn’t come across a better deal. ?The final place I went to simply told me they couldn’t beat the specs I was given at XIV Karat – so this is where i bought my ring. ?(My fiance loved it and gets tons of compliments on it). ?We have been repeat customers buying both our wedding bands there as well and the staff remembered us (Allison in particular was especially helpful and took time to come over and help us specifically even when we weren’t making a huge purchase like some of the other customers there). ? This is the place I will continue to go and would recommend to anyone looking for really good jewelry prices on quality jewelry.
My experience was very different from those listed here. ?Started out excited to go to XIV Karats as the reviews were pretty good, but was disappointed in the end. ?Poor customer service (and I’ve been to many many jewelry stores from small mom ‘n pop shops to high end ones like Harry Winston).1) ? At first, the salesman (possibly the mgr or owner) was very friendly and very helpful. I was pleased that I was getting good service. ?However, within 10 mins another OLDER couple came in (we are in our in our late 20’s but look young) and he quickly passed us off to a different sales lady. I felt like we, “the little fish” were being dropped for “bigger fish”. ?This feeling continued with the 2nd sales lady as she kept on looking at other customers (who might buy) and was not attentive to our needs knowing we were only browsing today.2) Being a layman, I’ve done a lot of research on rings and consider myself quite educated on jewelery terms. ?I mentioned that I DID NOT want a halo – and she kept on slipping halo rings in every ?chance she could despite the fact that I would only point to “non-halo” rings. ?I finally had to spell it out for her and tell her that I didn’t want diamonds around the center diamond, and then she understood. ?Also she was talking about a band that I was looking at saying it was a knife-edge, when it wasn’t – so I question her advice & expertise – She just wanted to sell sell sell – with nothing informative or even a care about what style I was looking for.3) Was very untrusting with us. With the first salesman, he was bringing us nice rings and was very casual leaving us with the ring while he walked away. The second sales lady treated us like we were going to run away with the ring (keep in mind that they’re on the 2nd floor and you’d have to take an elevator down to the first floor before running down the street – oh and not to mention that they have security everywhere) I think she can cut me a little slack and not watch me like a hawk. ?I understand that there are rules but being fair is being fair but she was super strict on me. ?Only looking at one ring at a time and she only pulled out one tray at a time – while the clients next to us had 3 trays out and was free to grab which ever ring they chose to look at and compare them side by side. ?Unfair treatment. All in all, not a good experience. I might give them another chance but honestly I felt like their merchandise was not my style anyways. I have petite fingers and want a slender & refined type ring and most of their rings were very over the top clunky and chunky for my small hand. Also a lot of the rings were very similar in style, not much variety. They do however, seem to have a good selection of wedding bands – so I might go back for the wedding band, and try a different sales lady.
low end to high end…this jewelry store has an extensive selection of tiny simple trinkets to the most gorgeous gaudy pieces. ?It can get quite busy on the weekend so if you can come during the weekday it will be easier to find someone to help you. I shop her from christmas/birthday presents and I get a great value at a super reasonable price. ?Cute contemporary “everyday” pieces that sometimes cost less than a “sky top.” ?Most of the time you’ll have a celebrity sighting. ?It’s like Tiffany’s, but you can afford to buy the real thing instead of a tarnishing silver piece. ?I heart this place which is why I take drastic measures to avoid coming too often because I always find new things to add to my collection.
My parents have been customers of XIV Karats for at least 30 years. ?When my husband and I began looking at rings back in 2004, I knew XIV Karats was the only place we needed to go. ?He bought my setting there and the wonderful staff took a 70 year old miners cut diamond out of my late grandmother’s pendant necklace and placed it into my setting. ?The result was an absolutely gorgeous (and priceless to me) engagement ring. ?The entire process was seamless from start to finish – from picking out the setting, having the diamond removed from the necklace and placed into the setting, and receiving the final product. ?A few months before our wedding, we custom ordered a pave diamond platinum band that fit perfectly around my engagement ring. ?We also ordered my hubby’s wedding band. ?Both were ready on time and looked awesome. ?4 years later, our rings are still as beautiful as the day we got them. ?We’ve been back a couple times just to look around and have my husband’s platinum ring re-brushed and my rings cleaned. ?They didn’t even charge us for either service!I’ve recommended XIV Karats to numerous people over the years – most recently a childhood friend of mine who got her stunning engagement ring and wedding bands at XIV Karats. ?If you have any rings, necklaces, or bracelets you don’t wear anymore, consider taking them to XIV Karats to have new pieces made out of them! ?They’ve designed pieces for me that are irreplaceable and at a price that is extremely affordable. ?A few years back, my mom brought in a very old diamond ring that belonged to her mother. ?The 4 diamonds were popped out and they created a beautiful necklace out of them – on a very thin platinum chain with a diamond sitting in a bezel setting every couple inches. ?This ran her about $200 and people comment on the necklace all the time! ?This necklace would easily retail for $1000 at a mall jewelry store…..Also, another cool thing is whatever price is shown on the tag is divided by 2…..that is the price you pay.Go check em out – you will not be disappointed.
My husband bought my engagement ring here, and it’s beautiful. ?I love it. ?However, each time we’ve gone back after that the employees have been less helpful and less friendly – maybe because we’ve never been shopping for anything as expensive. ?When we were shopping for our wedding bands, the saleswoman worked very hard to upsell me to an uncomfortable diamond eternity band rather than the delicate ring I wanted. ?We won’t be going back there – we’ve just gotten too many bad vibes. ?Also, they make you pay for parking? ?Give me a break.
This was the first place I worked when I moved here and oh, it was so hard not to spend my entire paycheck on these jewels!I am fairly knowledgable about stones and diamonds and jewelry but there was still a lot to learn from my co-workers, particularly the ones that specialized in the higher end diamond engagement rings. ?What I loved the most about this place and about working here was the choice — as a salesperson I loved that anyone could walk in and buy something on any budget. We had cute lil’ diamond huggie-hoops from 100 bucks to major engagement rings and diamond necklaces in the hundreds of thousands/millions. Great diamond pendants selection as well. ?Nothing made me happier than to work with a client to find the perfect piece for their budget and their taste. You know sometimes you just don’t want a diamond and most stores are lacking in alternative stone selection. XIV has it all- peridots, garnets, amythests oh my!XIV often loans out to celebs for shows, shoots and videos and every day it seemed we had a celebrity client coming in to buy something pandora beads, have a piece repaired, etc. I saw more than my fair share of D List all the way up to the A’s. Welcome to LA I guess! Speaking of repairs, if you need a piece repaired take it on over — they also do custom pieces if you are so inclined. I really haven’t ever seen such meticulous and talented jewelers. ?Sometimes the repair can be a bit pricey but hey, it is Bev Hills. So although I have moved on I would still go back there for all my jewelry needs, sometimes even just to look at the pretties on display a la “Breakfast at Tiffanys” — except mine is more like “Happy Hour at XIV Ltd”. Go. See. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
I ordered a custom made ring from this store. I spoke with a man over the phone to place my order – he was very polite when taking down my requests, and even emailed me a sketch of my ring. When I approved it, he then took down my billing info and told me I should receive the package in two weeks. After two weeks, my finger was still bare. I called the store to check on the status of my order. The woman I spoke with told me that there was no order under my name; she was quite rude considering the circumstances. I don’t understand how they could lose my order when I wrote an email confirmation to the store email address. ?Another woman ended up calling me back and taking my order again. She faxed me an order form that she said I needed to fill out. The first man didn’t even mention this form! They rushed my order the second time around, so I received it about a week later. It was really pretty, except they did not follow my requests. The design was facing the wrong way on the ring, even though the bill of sale had the correct instructions typed on it! Luckily, I still liked it.***UPDATE***Since my experience, the owner of the store contact me and issued a partial refund. Apparently the guy that helped me was incompetent and no longer works there.
VALUE. ?I feel like when I’ve bought things here, I’ve paid exactly the right price. ?There’s something here in every price range… A lot of the pieces have a little bit of a… stuffy/older feel to them, but if you look closely, you’ll find more delicate, classic, modern pieces too. ?They will work with you a little on prices too — just be nice and reasonable with what you ask. You’re not going to get Tiffany’s treatment, but you’re at a windowless wholesaler! ?What do you expect?
this place is just a godsend for jewelry fanatics like me.Normally i’m such an elitist. most of my jewelry is from an established houses, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany. But i was super intrigued by XIV Karats. I had heard so much, and i figured if it was good enough for Paris Hilton, it’s good enough for me.So i popped in today in search of a micro pave diamond ring, and i found it within 10 minutes with the help of the lovely Jasmine, who seriously tried to direct me in a direction which would save me the most money, which is super sweet. The decor isn’t as nice as Harry Winston or Cartier, no leather seats, viewing tables, and floral bouquets, but at this price and quality, i can do without the extras. Seriously though, they have EVERYTHING. They also had the pave flower double finger ring (Samantha’s ring) from Sex And The City: The Movie. It was really remarkable in person.anyways, i ended up a micro pave diamond band, a pink sapphire band, and a black diamond band, all for the total price of $490. Which is AMAZING in my book. The service was perfect, the prices are unbeatable. And all tagged prices are halved when taken to the register.ahhh, i can’t wait to come here again.
This was the best shopping experience ever! Yosi and Michael helped me find the most beautiful new ring setting. I told them my budget was $500 or less, and not only did they take half off the value of the setting, they knocked off an additional $65 to make it an even $500, didn’t charge me for the setting fee, and also credited me the value of my old, gold ring band. The first band they picked out for me, was the one I fell in love with. It had 46 diamonds total, and had a square halo that fit my round diamond perfectly, making it look way bigger than it actually is. I cried 5 times like a bumbling idiot, because they were being so nice to me. The couple next to me were buying a really expensive, giant anniversary ring, and they paid just as much attention to me and my measly budget , as they did to them. I would recommend this place to anyone!
I went there recently after not having gone in 20 years. ?While the sales staff was patient, they kept saying that I could return the item if I didn’t like it. ?I only found out, after I made the purchase that I could only exchange the item and only because I read it on the receipt. ?I felt duped! ?I returned the item a few days later and the sales person was not nice. ?If I didn’t have a credit to this place, I would never ever go back. ?I would not recommend this place. ?Don’t waste your money.
I have grown up in Beverly Hills and while the prices can be good at 14 Karats, I walked out today and said to myself I’d basically rather shop almost anywhere than here. I am shopping for wedding rings and I’ve been there a few times in the past few weeks and with only one exception the staff was dismissive, rude and condescending. ?If you’re looking for a supportive shopping experience as one often does when shopping for wedding jewelry, you might want to go elsewhere.
On the spot they ?sized/ fit my engagement ring and fixed a problem with the antique setting that the previous jeweler in Montecito that my fiance ?went to did not.I saw a wedding band I like too and they prices seemed reasonable so I will definitely keep them in mind for future purchases.
I went here to have my engagement ring polished and cleaned a week before my wedding. Even on a busy Saturday, I received prompt service. They polished my ring to perfection and even tightened the prongs since the stone was a little loose and they did it in 45 minutes for $40. They gave me some pointers on how to keep it shiny and clean between polishings. The associate, Eric, was awesome. Great service without the typical jewelry store attitude. I’d totally go back for cleanings or if I’m in the market for jewelry.
My fiancee proposed to me using a ring that he described as “temporary.” ? We didn’t exactly do the engagement thing the traditional way. ?He wanted to make sure that I got a ring that I loved, and I wanted to make sure that the ring I wore represented both of us, so we decided to choose one together. ?We spent a few weeks after we got engaged looking on line and at stores, when I remembered XIV Karats. ?I went by myself one afternoon just to check it out, and I was helped by Jasmine. ?She and I clicked right away, and even though I told her that my fiancee was not with me and that I obviously couldn’t buy anything that day, she spent a good deal of time showing me trays of rings and helping me find options that my fiancee and I would both like. ?We are picky, and he has very specific taste, but I managed to narrow the options down to three. ?A few weeks later, I brought him with me back to the store. ?Luckily, Jasmine was there, and she helped us for an hour without even looking at any other customers. ?My fiancee saw the three rings I chose, and he looked at several others. ?We ended up with one of the original three, and the in-house jeweler sized it for us while we waited. ?We walked out of the store with a beautiful sapphire and diamond band ring at an amazing price. ?The sapphires are that perfect cornflower blue that you could get lost in. ?The quality is wonderful and they guarantee the craftsmanship as well as the stones.I’ve seen reviews of ?this store that suggest the craftsmanship is not up to par and the sales staff only care about customers who look like they’re going to spend lots of money. ?That is not the experience I had at all. ?I loved shopping at XIV Karats. ?There is something for absolutely everyone, whether you like that over the top look or the more understated, classic style. ?They have vintage looking pieces as well as modern. ?I will go back to this store for many, many years to come.
Dear friends purchased an amazing wedding set there. ?We went based on their reccomendation and were helped by ” Little Jasmine”. ?Feedback: Doesn’t get better than Jasmine, doesn’t get much worse than the son of the owner. Won’t delve into any great detail but would say it’s an amazing place for modern pieces, loose diamonds and contemporary jewelry. ?We bought my fiance’s wedding ring there and it’s a distinctive, masculine and unique piece, we are very happy with the purchase. ?However, when asking for counsel on how to repair a vintage engagement ring, we were hopelessly confused by three different answers from three different people. ?I declined the repair after it was offered because it seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing, and found an amazing jeweler to retool my beautiful ring. ?Advice: you can have great success here, great pieces at good prices. ?However, this is NOT the place for vintage jewelry repair, do NOT take pieces that you love and value to this store for help.
********** Is more like it. ?5 stars is not enough. ?We did our homework and I was sent in on a mission. ?Then I fell in love with something much more than I went in for but I mean I fell in love with this ring. ?I was sent to get it by my nephew out of town. ?And XIV Karats worked with us and made it possible for me to get the most splendid engagement ring for my nephew. ?They overnighted it and he fell over it is so gorgeous. ?He could not believe how much he got for his money. ?Cushion cut lovely stone with a delicate halo. ?It will be handed down for generations and I am thrilled with the ring and thank Ron for his expert, charming service and excellent price. ?Love triumphs after all and over all! ?Hooray! ? XIV Karats is the best. ?;~}}
What can I say. ?I have been shopping for the perfect engagement ring and was going to many many places in SF and in the Los Angeles area and a friend recommended that I come here. ?My search had finally ended. ?Beautiful stones with wonderful helpful staff. ?Not pushy and extremely helpful. ?The jewelry here is unmatched and the prices are definately the best. ?I trust Yosi and he helped me pick out the most gorgeous and memorable engagement ring. ?I will always come back for all my jewelry needs. ?Thanks XIV Karats!!!
For me, it’s all about service and customer satisfaction, no matter who you are. ?There are numerous choices out there for quality jewelry products, but not quality customer service. ?I’ve been a small customer of theirs for over 20 years (wedding bands, bracelets) as I was introduced to them by my LA family who are LARGE CUSTOMERS. Five years ago, my best friend from that family, gave me a stunning 14k /marcasite / diamond ring as a thank-you for flying from Atlanta and taking her to her first chemo treatment. ?I mention this only because the ring was purchased at Fourteen Karats and has a flood of meaning for me.Last year, the prong opened on the stone and it needed to be replaced. ?I brought it to them because they had made it, it was so special and I could not bear NOT wearing it as my best friend had since passed away and they knew her quite well. They refused…adamantly…stating that it was too fragile to fix and the marcasite stone would disintegrate. ?I begged them, told them I would replace the stone if it did, it was made for me by the specific family that they do business with…they just wanted me gone. I cannot tell you how hurtful that was.One year later I brought it to Time 2 Fix in Sherman Oaks, just to see if it could be repaired, when I was replacing some watch batteries with them. ?It was fixed for me, in less than 2 days for under $50, cleaned, polished and to me looks BETTER THAN NEW. ?Moral of the story? ?It’s all about service and professionalism. ?If you’re not Paris Hilton…don’t bother even going to Fourteen K. ?They don’t want you. ?As for my LA family who has spent THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS at Fourteen K over the years? ?They were just as outraged with my treatment and have since looked elsewhere for their jewelry needs.
My engagement and wedding ring are from XIV Karats and I am in love with them – I always get compliments on how shiny and pretty the diamonds are. ?They encourage me to have my ring cleaned as often as I want at the store, and everyone is always super cool and nice. ?They have great jewelry at fair prices. ?Every guy needs to know about this place when it’s gift time.
I have been coming here off and on for years but am by no means a “regular”. ?Today they helped me with a problem on a piece of jewelry they had previously worked on and completely satisfied me without my having to push the issue. ? I will definitely be back.
always had a good experience with 14 karats. well, my husband always had good experiences with 14 karats. the nice man that he is, whenever i express to him a lack of accessory for a certain body part, he never fails to request something from 14 karat and there sits a nice white wrapped box with a nice fake flower. the body part is PG. my ear!
Great customer service & great value!!We were there to order wedding bands the day before Valentine’s Day, they were very busy, but we were asked at least 5 or 6 times if we had been helped. When we went back to pick the bands up, they were very attentive again. We were very happy with our experience.Additionally, they saved us a bunch of money on our bands… seriously! Definitely check them out! You will not be disappointed.
XIV Karats has one of the best jewelry stores in B, without a doubt! Their selection is very large and diverse, and you would assume you would get overwhelmed with all the sparkling jewels. Not the case! The sales associates are helpful to a T, you tell them what you want or have in mind, and they will assist you with some of their selections, which ended up over exceeding my expectations! My husband usually swings by around our holidays and has had nothing but impeccable service. The only con that I would say about 14k is that some of the custom orders my husband has placed in the past have always had “complications” which resulted in a delay. Thankfully, he goes in much earlier so they have never made a gift late…as of yet. But the whole process can be a bit frustrating, especially if you have a ‘deadline’ to meet. We’ll stick with our jeweler for those pieces.Overall, wonderful location, wonderful prices, and fabulous service!
I have been going here for about a year. It was recommended to my by a friend and am so glad she did! Jose and Ron couldn’t be nicer and have a beautiful selection of jewelry. They took a ring I had from my grandmother (I was giving it to my fiance for an engagement ring) and had to recut the stone to get rid of occlusions. The ring came out beautiful and have been engaged ever since. I have bought numerous gifts from them and have been treated like family. Anyone who steps in the door, weather spending thousands or hundreds gets treated like royalty.
Incredible selection. Amazing service. Gorgeous location. Feels exclusive. Exactly what anyone is looking for to make yourself or someone else feel special. Simply wows you in every aspect. Bought several watches and bracelets received A+++++++ service.
I have to say that this is the best Jewler in town. And yes, i’m talking about LA!! They are very well priced and have a great selection. My husband even ordered a custom ring to look like my wedding band, without them seeing what it looked like, and they did an awesome job. I will buy all of my jewelry from here and recommend anyone I know to purchase here too!! Thank You!!!
I’ve bought from XIV Karat before because they have an amazing selection and great prices. ?Every time I feel a little sick because the service is always so horrible, but I do love their selection and prices. ?Well, no more. ?I refuse to shop somewhere where I feel like I’m a burden to them if I’m not spending $$$$$ and only spending $$$. ?I feel like every person in there is trained to belittle and it’s a horrible feeling. ?What should be exciting and fun turns into tedious. ?Case in point, I’ve been considering resetting my engagement ring. ?When I told someone that they looked at me like I was crazy (apparently thinking I shouldn’t). ?Who are they to judge? ?Then that man called over someone else to help me acted like she was preoccupied and burdened by me. ?I saw something I liked, but decided to come back another day to look again. ?When I came back the second time, I asked how much the setting (seriously considering buying it) and I was told, “$3,500 to $4,000.” ?I said, “I want to know how much this setting is.” ?She walked away, came back with, “$3,500 to $4,000.” ?Screw that. ?I’m not making the decision to buy something that has a $500 price window. ?So as I said, even though they have great prices and selection, I won’t line their pockets anymore. ?This is LA – there are TONS of other options out there.
My go-to jewelry cleaning place (also have gotten some amazing deals on pieces of jewelry; ask for Yossi), but the ladies who work here are mostly miserable, depressed and rude! ?Don’t expect much in terms of friendly service. ?But great prices and great convenience.
I got my engagement ring here. We looked at various “designer” rings elsewhere, tried all the big jewelry houses, and found my favorite here, and at the most reasonable price (we got a great price on a high quality diamond, and something knocked off the setting price for buying the band there, too). Service was great and friendly, no one pressured us at all. Great experience.
I have purchased many gifts for young girls in this store. I have had friendly and helpful salespeople every time I have shopped in the store, and never felt that I was rushed or unimportant when making these relatively modest purchases. ?When my husband gave me a beautiful diamond necklace (an item available at high end stores closer to his office) for a birthday a few years ago I was especially pleased that he had gone to XIV Karats. When I make jewelry purchases in the future I will always go first, and probably last, to this store with endless choices.
